Programs That Help Youth Rise
At Dare 2B You, we believe every young person carries something the world needs. Our programs give youth the mentorship, skills, and community they need to discover who they are, lead with confidence, and give back to the neighborhoods they call home.
Rise Above. Be Yourself. Lead Your Community.
Youth Mentorship
Our Youth Mentorship program pairs youth with caring, trained mentors who show up consistently and believe in what's possible. Mentors aren't there to lecture. They're there to listen, encourage, and help young people set goals and reach them, one step at a time.
Through regular one-on-one and small-group connection, youth build the trust and confidence that comes from having an adult who truly sees them. Mentors help with everything from navigating school and setting goals to talking through hard days and celebrating the wins.
What youth gain:
-
A consistent, caring adult relationship built on trust
-
Support setting and reaching personal, school, and life goals
-
A safe space to be heard without judgment
-
Encouragement to see their own strengths and potential
Leadership Development
Our Leadership Development program helps youth discover their voice and step into it. Through interactive workshops and cohort experiences, young people learn the real-world skills that carry them through school, work, and life: communication, teamwork, decision-making, goal-setting, and standing up for what they believe in.
This is where a quiet young person learns to speak up, and where a natural leader learns to lift others as they rise. Youth practice leadership in a supportive environment, take on real responsibility, and leave knowing they have what it takes to lead.
What youth gain:
-
Communication, teamwork, and public-speaking skills
-
Confidence to make decisions and take initiative
-
Goal-setting and problem-solving tools they'll use for life
-
A cohort of peers who push each other to grow
Community Service & Civic Engagement
Our Community Service program turns confidence into action. Youth plan and lead service projects that meet real needs in their own neighborhoods, learning firsthand that they have the power to make a difference right where they are.
From organizing community events to volunteering with local partners, young people experience the pride of contribution and the responsibility of citizenship. They learn to see problems as opportunities, to work together across differences, and to leave every place better than they found it.
What youth gain:
-
Real experience planning and leading service projects
-
A deeper connection to and pride in their community
-
An understanding of civic responsibility and teamwork
-
The confidence that comes from making a visible impact
